Hotel Castillan
The Meije surrounding area is famous for its glaciers, wonderful nature and beautiful landscapes.
Winter is suitable for skiing and snow riding ; summer is perfect for bike cycling as well as mountain bike riding.
MOUNTAIN BIKE
NORTH FACE (Warning : HIGH MOUNTAIN area, therefore good riding level is compulsory)
They are 6 indicated runs :
- 1 from "3200" (top of the cable car) : mineral environment
- 5 from "2400" (the intermediate satation of the cable car)
The runs are all indicated at departure (then there is no information sign)
SOUTH FACE
South face is all different. Everyone can ride down although good physical condition is required and some passages are technical from there, you can admire the Meije and amazing landscapes.

- L'Aiguillon
- Way around La Grave-Villar d'Arène
- The tour of the "plateau Emparis" and its lakes
- Crossing the "Oisans" area
- Dounhill of "Col du Galibier"
In order to appreciate more the experience you can hire one of the 3 guides of "BikeLaGrave". Erin, Bruno and Cyril are fully qualified as moutain bike instructor. Mountain and bike lovers, they decided to create this "school" together.

*IMPORTANT INFORMATION* : The hotel offers a free bike garage, olan of tools and water (garden hose) to rinse your bike. There is also a "bosch" electric terminal to recharge your bike batteries.
